Combat Arms - Final ESL Rules
Combat Arms : new detailed and upgraded Rules!
Combat Arms Admin Team hardly worked during this weeks in order to ensure, together with the launch of first important Ladders, a fair and detailed Rules set. First important edits, especially thanks to high community activity into S&D 1on1 Ladder, have been done: as promised, before new upcoming year, more specific and featured Combat Arms Rules are finally ready!
Combat Arms Specific Rules The following rules apply to all Combat Arms Ladders , Cups , Premierships and all other competitions.
9.1. Game default settings
Game default settings must be the following :
- Kill Cam Off
- Friendly Fire On
- Join in Progress On
- No backpack (by setting the in-game Option)
- No Heavy Vest
- One Sniper Rifle allowed for each team.
Each team has to point out, into Match Settings, the only player's name who has been chosen to use the Sniper Rifle during the challenge, before the match will be started. Once one of teams' sniper will die, it is allowed, for both team mates and opponents, to pick up the sniper's rifle from ground and use it.
A match played with wrong settings may not be considered valid.
9.2. Forbidden Weapons/Items
All following list's weapons/items are always OFF by default unless both teams/players agree to use them. (Alle aufgelisteten Waffe/Gegenstände sind Verboten es sei denn beide Teams/Spieler sind mit der nutzung einverstanden)
List of forbidden weapons/items:
- Double Barrel
- M590 Military
- SPAS-12
- R870
- G7A Gas Nade
- M23F Incendiary Nade
- M16A1 AP Mine
- G7A Gas Nade
- Heartbeat Sensor
- Heartbeat Detector
- Black Market Items
- Special Events Items (Halloween and such)
All other allowed guns can be used in 1st slot or 2nd slot - players are not allowed to use 2 guns from those allowed in 1st slot (Backpack forbidden) or one in 1st and one in 5th slot (for example both G36E and M16A3 in first slot or G36E in 1st and AK-47 in 5th.)
All weapons and items won during Special Events count as unallowed slot weapons, therefore it’s not allowed to use them in ESL matches as long as there’s no acceptation of the opponent.
Penalty Points in case of wrong equipment:
1st time: 2 Penalty points for both the player and the team plus lose of 3 rounds.
2nd time: 3 Penalty points for both the player and the team plus lose 7-0 on one side of the map.
3rd time: 4 Penalty points for both the player and the team plus loss 14-0 on one map if the opposing team won the other map. If they didn't, the whole match will be deleted.
All agreemenths regarding Forbidden Weapons/Items must be posted on Match Comments or Match Settings. As already stated they are OFF by default, unless BOTH teams post they are on. Shared agreement is necessary to guarantee the same advantages/disadvantages for all teams.
Also all failures in game to comply with the rules, must be reported in a protest and proven with screenshots or a video.
9.3. Rosters
In 5on5 Search & Destroy Ladder Teams must have at least 4 members present in order to start a match.
Substitutions can only be made among sides , a different player can join only when the side is over , unless the other team agrees.
Users are only allowed to compete within 1 team in same Ladder.
9.4. Bug using
Any player who is found using any relevant bug (known or not) , will be penalized for bug use at admin's discretion (the responsible admin can decide in every instance whether the bug is relevant or not ).
The decisive factor taken into account is the player's will to exploit a bug and to gain an advantage toward the opponent player.
A clear video of bug using is often necessary in this case to demonstrate the opponent team/player exploited a Combat Arms bug on purpose .
Every player who is caught exploiting a bug during an ESL match will receive from 2 to 6 Penalty Points depending on the frequency and relevance of the exploited bug.
9.5. Data and Records
A screenshot of the on-screen results must be made of every game that is played. The screenshots must be uploaded onto the page with the match details as soon as possible after the game has ended. One screenshot showing each result (e.g. per half or map) is needed and can be uploaded by either the winners or the losers.
Non-existent screenshots lead to the assumption of a so-called “fake match”, a match that never took place. The screenshots must be uploaded within 24 hours after the game ends. They are to be kept for at least 14 days and must be presented to a player, or an admin at request.
Taking a screenshot is possible just pushing "Stamp R Sist" button on the keyboard (PrintScreen/PrtSc/Stamp) or using FRAPS software (fraps.com).
If a team wants to report any kind of cheating/hacking of the opponent team , use of FRAPS is highly recommended to provide a video as proof.
Rules will be in effect starting from tomorrow 06/01/2008
